I was at the Doctor Kate museum in Woodruff a few years ago and I plan on returning. It's an amazing museum. Lots of the instruments she used are there. You can watch a video of her and enjoy the amazing story of how the pennies were collected to build the hospital.

Go to the north woods and you go to a place that is God's country. It's beautiful. It was the home of an amazing doctor, wife, mother and friend (among other).

Yesterday was an amazing day as I sat and read about Annie Oakley. What a woman! We have all heard about her but what about her do you know? Do you know why she was a sure shot? Do you know what she did with her life and how she helped others?

Some books are written just to give us information. This book entertains us as well as informs us of the wonderful woman and what she has done for women.

There are books that move you and there are books you pick up because you need something to pass the time and put silliness into your life. "Daughter of the Fifth Moon" is one book that will move you. You will learn about the Native Americans who lived in Florida so many years ago. This is Book 6 in a series. The ENTIRE series is worth your while and money. I have read them all. I know. It's a fact. You will enjoy each and every book.

I smile now as I think back over the storyline. How amazing one person can be! How awful one person can be! Life. It's made up of both so that we can appreciate the good.

Learn about what life was like. Learn about the people. They were very special and should be remembered. I bet you live near a effigy mound. I do. There are several in the State Park just a few miles from my home. I visited the mounds a few weeks ago.

Sometimes the greatest heroes are our children. They see and hear things differently than we do just as we see and hear things different than our parents. I had to close my eyes and relax and enjoy the fact that I had the greatest opportunity -- reading this book.
